What is the PD Award Program?

The Professional Development Award program is intended to assist certified members from the HRMAE in pursuing professional development activities. The HRMAE supports the growth of the HR profession through a skilled membership.

Who is eligible?

Eligible applicants include:

• Certified members of HRMAE in good standing
• Members who have not received another award for the same activity
• Members who have not received funding from an employer for the same activity
• Members who have not received an award in the previous membership year

What PD activities qualify for the awards?

Awards may be granted to applicants who are:

• Pursuing a course or program through a recognized post-secondary institution (post-graduate, graduate, diploma or certificate level courses)
• Pursuing a management or executive development course or program through a recognized provider
• Registering for a professional conference, seminar, or workshop that meets the requirements of maintaining a related professional designation

How much will be awarded?

Applicants will request the amount of their PD activity to a maximum of $3500.00. No single award will exceed $3500.00. Multiple awards will be granted.

How do I apply?

The application form can be downloaded above. Email applications to hrmae@telus.net  by May 1st, 2012. Awardees will be notified by May 31st, 2012.

Payment of Awards

Payment of an award will be made to the successful applicant upon receipt of proof of registration or enrolment. Registration/enrolment must occur within one year of being granted the award. Proof of successful completion is to be remitted to HRMAE within sixty (60) days of completion.
