Founded by volunteers, HRIA promotes and encourages maintenance of professional standards in the field of human resources management and works to help define the standards and processes for certification as a Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP).
Volunteerism has, and continues to be, an important cornerstone of the Association. Through the participation of volunteers the HRIA is able to develop new programs, organize member events and advance strategic initiatives in the HR profession.
