The HRIA supports a strong connection with the post secondary institutions throughout the province who offer academic programs/studies in human resources management.

Student Membership has all the benefits of regular membership for a fraction of the cost – Membership Fee:  $50 + GST – join today!

Post Secondary Liaisons and Student Members

As a student member of the HRIA, you have the opportunity to get involved and connect with HR professionals from across the province.  Benefits include access to HR job postings, HR publications, volunteer opportunities and discounted professional development.  Students may also be invited to attend institution events on behalf of the HRIA and foster relationships between students, faculty, and staff. 

Scholarships & Bursaries

Post-Secondary Partnerships

The HRIA supports teams from the University of Alberta and the University of Calgary to participate in the National Excalibur, a Canadian university tournament in human resources and in the JDC West competition, a western Canada business case competition.

In addition, the HRIA provides sponsorship of post secondary events/initiatives throughout the province.  Examples range from the University of Lethbridge’s annual Etiquette Dinner connecting industry/business professionals with students in the School of Business to the University of Alberta Human Resources and Management Association’s annual Student Conference.  The nature of these types of support varies from school to school.
