Rising Star Award

Awarded to an HRIA member in the first five years of his/her career who demonstrates great promise as a future leader in the Alberta HR Community.

Nomination Criteria

• Contribution in the workplace - Makes significant contributions to his/her workplace through innovating and enriching HR policies or programs 
• Education - Is committed to pursuing HR-related higher education, and demonstrates excellence in educational pursuits
• Volunteerism - Actively volunteers with HRIA and/or other organizations
• Demonstrates value of HR - Influences others with respect to the value of HR/Demonstrates others the value of HR
• Personal Attributes - Is innovative, ambitious, creative, energetic, and demonstrates determination and leadership
• Innovative - Develops innovative and ethical solutions to new or ongoing organizational challenges.

Eligibility Criteria

• HRIA member
• First five years of career
• Works in Alberta or works for an organization with established operations in Alberta
• Consent in the publication of both name and photo in connection with the HRIA Celebrating Excellence Awards program.
