Human resources professionals across Alberta are accomplishing amazing work in a challenging workplace environment. To recognize exceptional HR leaders, the Human Resources Institute of Alberta (HRIA) is very pleased to present the Celebrating Excellence Awards.
The Award of Excellence, Distinguished Career Award and Rising Star Award demonstrate the value and appreciation the HRIA and the HR community have for their fellow practitioners. These awards will contribute to HRIA’s mandate of “advancing excellence in human resources”.

Award of Excellence
Awarded to an HRIA member (individual, group or team) who plays a key role in driving the performance and reputation of an organization, is a catalyst for organization-wide change, and serves as a trusted advisor on organizational strategy. Distinguished Career Award
Awarded to an HRIA member who has made significant contributions to the advancement of the Human Resources profession in Alberta. Rising Star Award
Awarded to an HRIA member in the first five years of his/her career who demonstrates great promise as a future leader in the Alberta HR community.
Nominators
Both HRIA members and non-members are invited to submit nominations for the awards.
Deadlines for Nominations
Friday, March 12, 2010 at 5:00pm.

Awards Presentation
The Celebrating Excellence Awards will be presented at the 2010 Alberta HR Conference in Calgary on April 21, 2010.
Submitting a Nomination
Please submit the applicable nomination form and letter, no more than 2 8-1/2x11 typed pages, explaining why you believe the nominee deserves to be recognized with a Celebrating Excellence Award. Please describe how the nominee meets each of the nomination criteria in the order they are presented in the descriptions above. Please ensure the eligibility criteria for the specific award has been met. For example, we will not accept awards for non-HRIA members. To be eligible, the nomination must be submitted by 5:00pm Friday, March 12, 2010.
