Applying For Membership - Transferring into HRIA from Out of Province

When someone holding the CHRP designation or the CHRP Candidate Status (someone who has passed the NKE but has not yet passed the NPPA) moves to another province, they are required to transfer their designation or status to the association responsible for CHRP certification in their new province of residence.

To transfer to the HRIA first contact your current provincial HR Association and request a Transfer Form.  This Transfer Form will be filled out by your current HR Association and then sent to the HRIA.

Second, apply for membership following the above six steps keeping these differences in mind:

 1.

Choose the tab "transfer in from another province" when applying.

 2.

CHRP and CHRP Candidate Transfer In Members do not have to pay an Application Fee.  Transfer In members will  have to pay the New Member Dues when approved.

 3.

The HRIA will review Transfer In applications when we receive both the application and the Transfer Form from the former HR Association.
