Message from the President

In 2010, the HRIA is well positioned to reconnect with the core values of the association to continue to enhance the profession of human resources. It is our vision to be the source for human resources leadership and expertise and it is our mission to strengthen and promote the profession of human resources in Alberta.

During a comprehensive strategic planning session last year, the Board of Directors determined top key objectives for the coming years and they are as follows:

      •  Creating enhanced Member Services
      •  Making Collaboration Implementation a Reality
      •  Establishing a Governance Committee
      •  Enhancing the profession and the CHRP designation
      •  Building on strong provincial and national relations

With a record number of members this year, 4,000 strong, there are great opportunities that lie ahead for the HRIA. We are embarking on exciting times with this new strategic plan and I look forward to working with all associations both regionally and nationally to ensure we fulfill the mission of HRIA.  The HRIA is committed to build on the successes of the past and foster a strong and sustainable future. I am excited about working with the dedicated Board of Directors this year to ensure we continue to your meet your needs.
